Your salary also depends on the institute from which you have taken your degree.
Career in engineering is based on systematic, logical problem solving in technical field. Engineers should be good team player (able to work in teams). An experienced engineer usually serves as supervisor, project leader who have to ensure that all team members coordinate well for achieving organizational goals.
Candidate seeking career in engineering field should have ability to keep balance between creative and scientific skills. He has to master established techniques while learn and innovate new ones.
